Who we are

As a new little family, we enjoyed a quiet existence in our small rural Iowa acreage. The kids had all the freedom to explore and play, while we tinkered around the house and large gardens. We found old nails in the dirt so often that “Rusty Nail Farm” was born. It was a good and simple life.

In 2019, historic flooding of the Missouri River devastated our property. Ultimately, our home was destroyed and we were left with a small parcel of land and good memories.

Through much hard work we have turned our tiny parcel nestled within acres of traditional row crops into unique and productive agriculture. We are proving that by working with what you have you can be surprised and amazed through every season.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about us. We hope our story of perseverance inspires others. Please reach out if we can answer any questions.
